  1. MAY 10: Dedication of Constantinople to our Lady by Constantine the Great

«May 10, 330 AD, the Emperor Constantine took part in a solemn mass at the Church of St Irene, that dedicated the new city of Constantinopolis, or Constantinople, to Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary.»
  2. May 10: Our Lady of Grace of Trsat, Croatia, 1291 AD

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/3c/Crkva_Gospe_Trsatske_-_pro%C4%8Delje.jpg/360px-Crkva_Gospe_Trsatske_-_pro%C4%8Delje.jpg«Every May 10, the people of Trsat and the city of Rijeka in Croatia celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Grace also called Our Lady of Trsat. Trsat is a hill above the biggest Croatian seaport, Rijeka. An ancient castle was built here in the 13th century. Up to the 15th century, the castle used to belong to the Frankopans, a powerful Croatian family. Count Nicholas Frankopan was one of the witnesses to the miracle which manifested itself near the castle. According to legend, on May 10, 1291 AD, the Holy House of the Virgin Mary arrived from Nazareth on the wings of angels. In that very house, Archangel Gabriel had announced to Mary that she would conceive Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy House stayed on the top of the Trsat hill until December 10, 1294 AD, when again, on the wings of angels, it flew across the Adriatic sea to Loretto, near Ancona, in Italy, where it remains today. At the place where the Holy House had stood, Count Nicholas Frankopan built the first church dedicated to the Mother of Grace. The Shrine or Sanctuary of Our Lady of Trsat, in Croatian, Crkva Gospa Trsatska, is a church on the flat area at the top of Trsat hill. In 1453 AD Prince Martin Frankopan added on a nave to house a painting of Mary, donated by Pope Urban V in 1367 AD, traditionally ascribed as painted by St Luke the Evangelist. From the 15th century, Franciscan monks guard the Sanctuary and the holy picture. Thousands of pilgrims arrive at Trsat and pray to the Mother of Grace.»
  3. May 10: Our Lady of Saussaie, 1305 AD

«The Abbot Mathew Orsini wrote: "The church of this Benedictine priory was dedicated to Our Lady, in the year 1305 AD." The Abbey of La Joie les Nemours, or Our Lady of Joy, or Notre Dame de la Saussaie, was once a royal abbey which depended on the order of Citeaux, located south-west of Nemours on the left bank of the Loing, in Saint Pierre les Nemours. Near the city of Paris there was once a shrine dedicated to Mary under the above title, but also known as the Abbaye de la Joie les Nemours, or Our Lady of Joy, Abbaye De La Joie. According to legend, the latter title was given to the abbey when King St Louis IX was returning from an expedition against the English and met his mother, Queen Blanche, near the convent. They tenderly embraced, and on that happy occasion the church was named for the joy they felt at the reunion. The shrine was located in a church of a Benedictine Priory, and was dedicated to Our Lady of Saussaie by Pope Clement V in the year 1305 AD. The abbey consisted of large buildings, with a church in the shape of a cross, the left branch including the chapel. The church was connected to the dormitory of the nuns. Mary, our Queen Mother, is mistress of the elements as her King Son was and is. It is related that she used a devastating storm to convince the Parisians of her God-given power over the world, and that she, too, could, with the grace of God, do the apparently impossible. Driven to the last extremity, the people took refuge at the shrine, and implored Mary to protect them and spare their homes and their city. Instantly and miraculously the raging storm subsided and the people’s clamorous prayers for help turned into jubilant acclamations of thanksgiving. From thenceforward the image of Our Lady of Saussaie was recognized as miraculous and pilgrimages began and continued. The buildings of the Abbey were partially destroyed by a fire in the year 1747 AD, and in 1772 AD the Duke of Orleans purchased the remaining buildings which were sold again, although the cloister and the chapel were demolished. Today, only the porch of the abbey remains. The Abbey gardens are now the location of a retirement home.»

The Bangor Communion Hymn & Hymn to St Patrick

The Monastery of the Irish Bangor was founded by St Comgall, whose feast is today, May 10.

Murtatori published in his Anecdota (1697-98 AD), a rare 7th century Latin communion hymn which he found in an Irish liturgical manuscript, the Bangor Antiphoner, originating from the Monastery of Bangor, and carried by some Irish monk, to the Irish monastery of Bobbio in Italy; this manuscript was written between 680 and 691 AD either in Bangor or in Bobbio, and which Muratori found in the Ambrosian Library of Milan where it had come from Bobbio, the famous monastery founded on Italian soil by the Irish missionary St Columbanus after he had been driven out of Burgundy. It had been brought to Milan from Bobbio with many other books by Frederick Cardinal Borromeo when he founded the Ambrosian Library in 1609 AD.

The Manuscript tells of St Patrick and his nephew St Secundinus (Sechnall) hearing angels sing it first during the offertory before the communion, and adds; "So from that time to the present that hymn is chanted in Ireland when the body of Christ is received."

As the legend goes, Saints Patrick and Sechnall had a terrible argument, with Sechnall accusing Patrick of preaching charity too little and Patrick threatening to run over Sechnall with his chariot. After being reconciled to each other in the graveyard of their church, they suddenly heard angels within the church singing this hymn.

Hymnum quando comonicarent sacerdotes

1. Sancti venite, Christi corpus sumite,
Sanctum bibentes, quo redempti sanguinem.

2. Salvati Christi corpore et sanguine,
A quo refecti laudes dicamus Deo.

3. Hoc sacramento corporis et sanguinis
Omnes exuti ab inferni faucibus.

4. Dator salutis, Christus filius Dei,
Mundum salvavit per crucem et sanguinem.

5. Pro universis immolatus Dominus
Ipse sacerdos exstitit et hostia.

6. Lege praeceptum immolari hostias,
Qua adumbrantur divina mysteria.

7. Lucis indultor et salvator omnium
Praeclaram sanctis largitus est gratiam.

8. Accedant omnes pura mente creduli,
Sumant aeterman salutis custodiam.

9. Sanctorum custos, rector quoque,
Dominus, Vitae perennis largitor credentibus.

10. Caelestem panem dat esurien- tibus,
De fonte vivo praebet sitientibus.

11. Alpha et omega ipse Christus Dominus
Venit, venturus iudicare homines.

John Mason Neale translated the Latin text in 1851 and published it in his Medieval Hymns. Here is his text:

Draw nigh and take the Body of the Lord,
and drink the holy Blood for you outpoured.

Saved by that Body and that precious Blood,
with souls refreshed, we render thanks to God.

Salvation's Giver, Christ, the only Son,
by his dear Cross and Blood the victory won.

Offered was he for greatest and for least,
himself the Victim, and himself the Priest.

Victims were offered by the law of old,
which in a type this heavenly mystery foretold.

He, Ransomer, from death, and Light from shade,
now gives his holy grace his saints to aid;

approach ye then with faithful hearts sincere,
and take the safeguard of salvation here.

He that in this world rules his saints and shields,
to all believers life eternal yields.

With heavenly bread makes them that hunger whole,
gives living waters to the thirsting soul.

Alpha and Omega, to whom shall bow
all nations at the Doom, is with us now.

St Secundinus or Sechnall's fame is as the composer of some of the the earliest Latin hymns in the Irish Church. One is "Sancti venite, Christi corpus sumite," which, according to tradition, was first sung by angels in the church of Dunshaughlin, and adopted for use at the reception of Holy Communion.

Another is the well-known alphabetic hymn commencing "Audite omnes amantes Deum, sancta merita." This he composed in praise of his uncle, St Patrick, and was rewarded with the promise that whoever would recite daily (morning and evening) the concluding three verses with proper disposition would obtain everlasting bliss in Heaven. It consists of twenty-three stanzas in the same metre as employed by St Hilary in his hymn "Hymnum dicat turba fratrum, hymnum cantus personet," and was printed by Colgan and Muratori. It was regarded as a lorica or preserver to be sung (or recited) in any great emergency, and its singing was one of the "Four honours" paid to St Patrick, being assigned as the hymn for the feast of the national Apostle.

The Catholic Church under Peter and his successors is the Bride of the Lamb, preserved by Him spotless and immaculate. Satan has fabricated many Counterfeits of the Lamb's Bride, who are whores of Satan. Any that adheres to these Whores, any who reject the Bride of the Lamb and who will not submit to be part of the Bride of the Lamb, the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ, have no part in Jesus Christ, in Jehovah-Elohim, but are Members of the Whores of the Antichrist, and are assured of Eternal Damnation.
